Wendy's Franchise Selects Digital Menu Board Solution

Wendy's FourCrown, a Minnesota-based Wendy's franchise of 60 stores, selects WAND Corporation's digital High Definition universal controller to be installed in five sites currently featuring the WANDisplay Digital Customer Engagement solution. This new HD controller standardizes the CPU functionality of a Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) because the same model controller can be used for the Kitchen Video display Systems (KVS), Digital Menu Boards (DMB), Point Of Purchase (POP) boards, and the Manager's Work Station (MWS) computer. A single, spare unit may also be kept on hand to serve as a back-up device, and can handle any of these tasks. The WAND universal controller will run all these components of the restaurant as well as play complex graphics, fluid video, along with being accessible remotely accessible for content updates. The universal controller also features Intel vPro technology, and can recover from 'the blue screen of death', have its bios updated, and systems monitored remotely.

When supported via Virtual Private Network (VPN) the system is secure. Content may be pushed down to either the entire store, or to specific monitors. Programming day-parts and related content will be performed by WAND Corporation, with enterprise level tools in place to allow rapid changes to the content and settings being displayed. The digital menu board combines animation and shows the customer some of the most popular combo options available for their breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snack, including dessert in real-time High Definition video.
