RestaurantConnect has announced the release of its BrandManager software. Building on its “restaurateur first” approach, RestaurantConnect will provide restaurant owners and managers an online tool that will bring social media and marketing management under one roof and deliver greater control over brand reputation.
According to a Cornell Center for Hospitality Research (CHR) roundtable held in July 2013, brand management is a steadily growing problem for restaurants. The roundtable identified three factors driving the problem: demanding customers; intensifying competition; and increasing influence of social media.
To counteract restaurant’s brand erosion, RestaurantConnect developed BrandManager. The technology is part of its continued expansion of management tools that operate more like white label restaurant products (or close to them) versus a third party offering that stands between the restaurant and its own customers.
BrandManager offers an enticing combination for restaurants that want to move beyond the disjointed approach to building a restaurant brand. Complete interconnectivity with a restaurant’s reservation and management system lays a strong foundation for widespread control of brand reputation. By adding RestaurantConnect’s BrandManager software, restaurants will have:
Better accuracy in customer input – eliminate dropped data or data inconsistencies by keeping customer information in one interconnected system
Better reputation management – keep an ear to the ground on people socially sharing about their restaurant or their competitors
Better visibility within social media – puts restaurants in a position to steer social media conversations around their brand
