Negotiation Expert to Keynote MURTEC
Hospitality Technology Magazine has announced the keynote speaker to kick off its 17 th Annual Multi-Unit Restaurant Technology Conference (MURTEC). Mike Inman, managing partner of TableForce, will make the keynote address on Thursday, March 22, at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
Inman is a partner in TableForce, along with Bill Garcia and Mark Kenczyk. The company specializes in negotiation and consulting. Inman’s keynote address, “The Art of Negotiation: Expectation Impacts Outcome,” will discuss how to effectively increase personal ability to negotiate as well as how to more effectively negotiate for an organization. Attendees will learn effective planning tips and at-the-table techniques that will empower them to achieve more through negotiation without damaging relationships. This is a subject that Inman is well-versed in as a negotiator and negotiation trainer, having worked in both sales and purchasing.
Hospitality Technology’s MURTEC brings together more than 225 restaurant technology, finance, and operations professionals for three days of peer-to-peer exchange of ideas and best practices. MURTEC is the must-attend event for staying abreast of technology innovation and industry trends, for both operators and vendors alike. Lauded by attendees as the "gold standard" for restaurant technology insight, MURTEC offers a multitude of networking opportunities through exhibition space, topic tables, sessions, networking receptions, golf, and more.
“MURTEC is just the right size,” Steve Brooks, director of mission control for Tumbleweed Southwest Grill, states. “I can always find the right people to talk to and those who I want to connect with throughout the year.”
John Tenczar, CIO of Hard Rock, says that he enjoys MURTEC for many reasons including the fact that the vendors in attendance seem to be more cutting edge. Tenczar goes on to reveal that he believes MURTEC is the place to see the latest and greatest technologies in the industry. “It’s also a great opportunity to meet my peers in the industry,” Tenczar notes. “I go to other CIO conferences and events, but nobody really understands the restaurant industry, especially the multi-unit restaurant industry. Often, one-off restaurants don’t have the same issues we do. I look forward to talking to my peers about the problems we have and how we can solve them together.”
MURTEC 2012 takes place March 21-23. Attendees will hear from leading restaurant professionals about specific ways they are aligning technology initiatives with business objectives on topics such as integrating mobile platforms, standardizing POS data, optimizing front- and back-of-house operations, business intelligence strategies, and the use of social media. The conference also boasts numerous networking opportunities that enable attendees to connect with visionary leaders, step back and examine business plans, and discover new ways to move companies forward. Pre-registration is required.
