IHOP Goes Wireless with Wayport

| July 01, 2005

According to a recent announcement, IHOP is teaming with Wayport in a pilot of multi-purpose connectivity solutions and applications, including public Wi-Fi Internet access in select IHOP restaurants across the United States. The move to offer Wi-Fi is seen as part of IHOP's larger strategic move to improve performance in other day parts, beyond breakfast.

"Wayport has proven its success in providing innovative applications management, customer support and secure and flexible connectivity solutions for retail venues," says Patrick Piccininno, vice president, information technology at IHOP Corporation. "Through Wayport's numerous program benefits, we are pleased to offer our franchisees the opportunity to reduce technology costs and increase productivity."
