Honeywell Enters Scanning, Mobility Business at NRF

Honeywell announces the introduction of its scanning & mobility business to the retail marketplace at this year's National Retail Federation (NRF) trade show in New York City. The Scanning & Mobility division is composed of the product and technology offerings from Hand Held Products and Metrologic, two companies acquired by Honeywell in late 2007 and 2008, respectively.

Some of the new products and applications include:

  • Dolphin 7600: Entry-level model that now comes with Windows Mobile 6 Standard or Professional;
  • Dolphin 7850: Now with three new long-range laser scanning options that provide usability up to 30 feet;
  • Dolphin 9950: Extends the Dolphin 9900 series with an integrated pistol grip and multiple keypad configurations;
  • MS4980 VuQuest: A versatile compact area-imaging scanner;
  • MS7580 Genesis: An enhanced MS7580 Genesis is now available with EAS deactivation technology for fast single-swipe checkout;
  • Remote MasterMind: A remote scanner management package that provides IT administrators with a convenient system to manage all scanners within their network from any single remote location.
