Holiday Inn Kills Dead Spots with Signal Booster

| March 12, 2013

Coming on the heels of a complete redesign and renovation, the Holiday Inn & Suites – Atlanta Airport North installed Roam Boost from RoamingAround, a solution that provides voice and data signal coverage in areas of the hotel that would otherwise suffer mobile phone dead spots. The in-building cellular solution is not only making the 330-room hotel a premier place to stay for travelers visiting Atlanta, but it is greatly increasing customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Roam Boost delivers strong mobile phone signal coverage by amplifying the local geography’s coverage, ensuring that all mobile calls, data transactions and communications are conducted quickly and securely. Because cellular technology is a critical communications method for business, travel, and hospitality, RoamingAround provides the products and services required by today's hoteliers to address the most complex mobile communication and transaction challenges.

To make the Holiday Inn & Suites – Atlanta Airport North more mobile compatible, it required a donor antenna, mounted on the roof, and six nodes set up throughout the hotel to give thorough coverage in the entrances, lobby, restaurant, bar, all meeting room areas and executive offices. With the initial service installed and working successfully, the hotel is now considering adding Roam Boost in other areas of the building as well.

Holiday Inn & Suites – Atlanta Airport North, located at 1380 Virginia Ave., is adjacent to Atlanta's Hartsfield Jackson International airport at the intersection of I-85 and Virginia Ave. The property features free wired and wireless internet access, 12,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, complimentary 24-hour airport shuttle service, a 24-hour business center, outdoor pool, 24-hour fitness center, on-site dining and more. The iConnect HD media lounge enables guests to relax and check flight arrivals, departures and weather forecasts using one of the huge touch screen display kiosks or browse the web from the Mac equipped iConnect tech lounge.
