CaribouCoffee.com Redesign Focuses on Technology for Personalization

Caribou Coffee announces its selection of the Online Marketing Platform solution from Valtira. The solution helped Caribou Coffee launch its new website, www.cariboucoffee.com, earlier this month. The new website incorporates the latest software technology for personalization to enable the company to connect with site visitors by serving relevant content based on location or product preferences.

"Caribou Coffee needed a scalable, flexible software platform on which to build our new website," says Kathy Hollenhorst , Caribou Coffee's SVP of marketing. "We selected Valtira as they had the right combination of content management, personalization and campaign tracking we need today and going forward."

With Valtira, Caribou Coffee can personalize content, imagery or promotions based on business rules or user preferences. This provides the site visitor with more relevant information on coffee types or coffeehouses. Marketing staff members can also update the site to keep content fresh for site visitors. The company can now also better track initiatives to better understand customer trends and improve marketing ROI.

Highlights of the new site are interactive coffee recommenders, "Build a Drink" features, virtual store tours, company news, new store openings and an easier-to-navigate site design.
