Fort Lauderdale, Fla. -- Sybra, Arby's second largest franchise, announces that it will use Spacenet (spacenet.com) Connexstar broadband satellite network to provide broadband service to its 237 Arby's restaurants. The Connexstar VSAT high-speed network is part of a back-of-house and POS system replacement that Arby's has implemented in both corporate and Sybra-owned restaurants.

"It was very clear from the beginning of our evaluation process that Connexstar provided excellent application performance and the Spacenet organization provided comprehensive technical and operational support," says Gilbert Reyes, vice president, information technology for Arby's, The VSAT network will support retail networking applications that include fast credit authorization, point-of-sale polling and a corporate intranet connection between the restaurants and Arby's corporate headquarters in Fort Lauderdale.
