Toast Restaurant Operating System Introduces New Takeout and Delivery Features

Toast Restaurant Operating System announced a new and improved digital experience which will extend the Toast Online Ordering platform. Starting in Q3 2017, Toast will arm restaurant operators with easy-to-use and accurate delivery mapping functionalities. In addition, Toast will revamp the online ordering experience by enabling guests to save favorite orders, multiple delivery addresses and credit cards for easy reordering.
 
The Toast takeout and delivery features work independently or in concert with the Toast Caller ID Service tool within the Online Ordering System suite. The benefits of the new Toast takeout and delivery capabilities include:
 

  • Easy to manage and schedule deliveries with a real-time map
  • Quick reorder capabilities for online ordering
  • Seamless integration between digital orders and POS
 

With Toast, online ordering is hosted directly through the all-in-one restaurant management platform. Ordering and customer data lives in one place, allowing restaurateurs to modify the online ordering menu in real-time from anywhere. Toast also arms restaurateurs with the ability to throttle orders when the kitchen is overwhelmed; users can turn off or slow down online ordering while properly setting guest expectations.
