Technology Combines Travel Elements in Single Itinerary

10/27/2011
The RTP|One Itinerary turnkey solution fromRTP, LLC and Inntopia enables destination resorts and attractions to license out-of-the-box technology to easily package and sell all travel elements – transportation, lodging, tickets, activities, rentals, lessons and more – in one transaction.
Operators using RTP enterprise commerce software will be able to offer unique and comprehensive vacation packages without having to develop custom itinerary technology with RTP|One Itinerary. This technology integration allows resort and attractions operators to flexibly bundle their own products – and those from multiple built-in partners -- for the highest yield. The solution offers:
  • One-stop, one-itinerary, comprehensive shopping for consumers with access to transportation, lodging, tickets, activities, rentals, lessons and other products
  • The ability to offer unique packages not available elsewhere
  • Items typically not available for advance purchase
  • The ability to better manage lodging yield and truly manage to the last room available

The RTP/Inntopia integrated solution exchanges data between service providers and patches together itineraries, information and billing. The integrated solution increases accuracy and operators’ ability to manage the yield on tickets, lodging and other items that have flexible pricing and inventory constraints. The system is configurable, allowing each operator to apply its own buisines rules.

Consumer itineraries will be under master confirmation codes with a single charge (or payments as defined by a schedule) instead of separate charges from airlines, resorts, car rental companies and other providers. Account numbers for consumer loyalty programs such as frequent flier miles can be added during the reservation process.

Requirements and Timing
To use the turnkey solution, resort and attraction operators need RTP’s enterprise RTP|ONE software and the Inntopia.IBE booking engine or the Inntopia.CRS enterprise platform. Operators can begin using this integrated functionality as soon as January 2012 .
