The new Donatos.com is one of the first fully responsive mobile commerce sites in the restaurant industry and includes a number of advanced capabilities that combine to make ordering pizza faster and easier. A customer log-in is no longer necessary – users simply visit Donatos.com and enter their order – drastically decreasing the time to check-out. Semantic search allows customers to search by ingredient or topping, sharing all possible options with quick next steps to checkout. A new image-based menu design and orientation mimics online retail sites to improve the overall user experience. Browser-base geo-location automatically locates and serves the closest location and associated offers to customers. Site speed and response times were reduced by a factor of 10 -- a priority metric focused on demanding users and especially mobile access.
