RedCat Enters Mobile App Arena

8/15/2011
Point-of-sale vendor RedCat has just launched a new integrated mobile phone application designed specifically for the hospitality industry. It allows hospitality outlets to have their own branded iPhone application; is also works as a Web application on other mobile devices.

Today’s technology-savvy customers have come to rely on the mobile tools that smartphones provide them on a day-to-day basis. Now RedCat provides restaurants and franchises the opportunity to extend their brand into these same mobile platforms.

It allows customers to pre-pay and pre-order food at their desired time directly from the application. Purchases can be paid for using loyalty points, pre-paid gift cards or credit card. Customers can simply register either on-line or via the application. They can then access their points balance, check their member status, and display a barcode that can be scanned for rewards. Customers can also search for their nearest site by using the integrated GPS or postcode search function.

RedCat Apps integrate seamlessly into its POS system eliminating double entry and delays for customers. Orders placed will be sent direct to the POS at the store and printed out automatically, all without the need for any interaction by the staff. It can also support different prices at different stores which allows for more pricing flexibility for owners of multi-site operations. The application can also be configured to be used as a self-ordering kiosk at store level.

Hospitality outlets can also use the application to deliver targeted and relevant advertising offers directly to their members which can be redeemed and tracked seamlessly through the RedCat POS system.
