Papa Gino's Increases Efficiency with POS System

Papa Gino's, Inc. has converted 113 D’Angelo Grilled Sandwiches restaurant locations to the SpeedLine point of sale software, wrapping up the first phase of the company’s planned rollout to its Papa Gino's Pizzeria and D’Angelo restaurants. The SpeedLine POS will replace the existing point of sale software in 320 locations of the two restaurant concepts.

Papa Gino's installed SpeedLink Enterprise at its head office to manage and connect the restaurant POS systems with the company's existing information systems. To ensure that operating and reporting processes would continue with minimal interruption throughout the POS transition, Papa Gino's worked with SpeedLine to integrate the POS systems with head office systems for business intelligence and reporting, automated purchasing and receiving, and HRIS. They also implemented and tested integrations with the company’s web ordering and loyalty solutions.

Through a partnership with NCR, Papa Gino's and SpeedLine have replaced POS software and upgraded hardware in 10 D’Angelo locations per week since fall 2011. They expect to complete the rollout at the last Papa Gino’s locations early this summer.
