Operator of Old Country and HomeTown Buffets Opts in for Future Tableside Ordering

Ovation Brands, operator of Old Country Buffet®, HomeTown® Buffet and Ryan's® brands, has selected MICROS cloud-based Simphony™ along with MICROS iCare™ Gift and Loyalty solution for all of its 337 locations. The solution, which supports the Ovation Brands mobile strategy for future table-side ordering and line management, is hosted in MICROS’ Data Center.  The roll-out of MICROS Simphony began in April 2014 and is scheduled to conclude in the fall. The roll-out of MICROS iCare will follow.
 
Ovation Brands selected MICROS Simphony for its ability to easily manage the entire Ovation Brands enterprise from a single location in the cloud, while standardizing its technology across all 337 locations. Ovation Brands is also benefiting from Simphony’s web services architecture, which enables easy system growth and deployment, the elimination of back-office servers in stores, a lower total cost of ownership, and eases the process of upgrading to newer versions of software. Simphony’s POS design supports full resiliency, guaranteeing that the systems will remain fully operational in the event of internet failure.
 
With MICROS’ iCare Gift and Loyalty solution, Ovation Brands is able to track and analyze customer activities.  MICROS iCare’s real-time, stored value and loyalty tracking with coupon issuance and redemption, will increase customer visits and spending. All of these valuable components enable Ovation Brands management and staff to spend more time focusing on the business and guest experience and less time managing technology.
