New Restaurant Ensures Speedy Ordering and PCI Compliance with iPads

Lucky Robot, a restaurant located in Austin, Texas has rolled out the interactive FoodHub iPad ordering system from HubWorks Interactive ­LLC. Lucky Robot is a newly opened restaurant that offers exciting Japanese-inspired cuisine.
 
FoodHub is an iPad-based system that allows patrons to order appetizers, drinks, and their meals directly from their table. Guests at Lucky Robot will receive the FoodHub iPad after taking their seats. Lucky Robot staff members will provide diners with brief tutorials on using the device, and will be available to answer any additional questions. Each device features Lucky Robot's complete menu, with detailed ingredient descriptions including allergen information. Guests at Lucky Robot can choose to pay for their meals immediately upon order submission or they can wait until the meal's completion. FoodHub features an integrated credit card reader that quickly and securely processes guest purchases.
 
The FoodHub system is uniquely customizable, featuring agile components, flexible features and white label design that can be configured to match any restaurant brand. Built-in PCI compliance exceeds industry standards to ensure ironclad payment processing security with hardware-based encryption technology that provides for fast, secure self-service transactions. The system is intuitive and easy-to-use for both guests and staff, making for a smooth transition, small learning curve and superior efficiency compared to off-the-shelf solutions.
