New Dorchester Collection Property to Open with Door-to-Drapes Guestroom Control

12/1/2010
Luxury hotel brand, Dorchester Collection, is set to open 45 Park Lane, in the heart of London’s Mayfair in Summer 2011. And when it does, the property will use Control4 Suite Systems’ automation technology, a complete door-to-drapes operating system and platform for the modern hotel room that allows guests to easily control lighting, room temperature, TVs, music, drapes and concierge services with a single remote.

“When we chose to use the help of Control4 in 45 Park Lane, we envisioned developing a ‘personalized automation’ experience for each guest,” says Mark Campbell, chief information officer “When guests open the door to their rooms, the room has a welcoming feel. The lights will gradually come on and the drapes will open to spectacular views of Hyde Park. Using simple touch screen devices, guests can control lighting levels, room temperature, music, wake-up calls and more.”
