NY Courtyard Reopens with WiFi and GoBoard Upgrade

12/2/2011

The Courtyard Fishkill Hotel proudly opens its doors after an eight-week renovation, revealing a bright new lobby, meeting space and modern rooms that are sure to please all techies.

Located in a technology corridor, surrounded by companies like IBM East Fishkill and IBM Poughkeepsie, the updates to the hotel are innovative and timely.

Complimentary Wi-Fi has been upgraded and is now available throughout the hotel - even on the outdoor terrace - at 3-megabytes-per-second speeds. One IBM traveler says the “Internet speed and bandwidth [are] terrific”; he can stay productive without waiting on a slow connection.

“From private media booths to high definition televisions, we make sure our technology savvy guests get what they need,” says Adam Pregno general manager of the Courtyard Fishkill.

“The new design offers our guests more flexibility to work, socialize or eat, allowing them to maximize their stay.”

One of the stand-out features of the new lobby is private media booths with high-definition televisions and personal electrical outlets to keep cell phones and laptops fully charged.

Guests can also work at a high-top communal table conveniently equipped with electrical outlets and offering ample elbow room.

When it’s time for food, guests don’t have to stray away from their laptops; instead, they can grab a bite to eat at The Bistro- Eat. Drink. Connect.

When guests are ready to explore the Fishkill area, the signature GoBoard--a 55-inch LCD touch screen packed with local information, maps, weather, and news, business and sports headlines—allows guests to navigate to find restaurants, local attractions and even print directions.
