Lucky Robot opens its doors with an iPad ordering system from HubWorks. FoodHub is an iPad-based system that allows patrons to order appetizers, drinks, and their meals directly from their table. Guests at Lucky Robot will receive the FoodHub iPad after taking their seats. Lucky Robot staff members will provide diners with brief tutorials on using the device, and will be available to answer any additional questions. Each device features Lucky Robot's complete menu, with detailed ingredient descriptions including allergen information.

Majority of Diners Expect Tech to Place Orders
Survey reveals that consumers are increasingly open to exploring new restaurant technologies with tablet and self-pay leading the way. A recent survey from Technomic has revealed that while restaurants may not be incorporating technology into their operations in overwhelming numbers yet, that doesn’t mean consumers aren’t interested in the latest tech amenities when dining out. A majority of consumers expect to use technology to order food at restaurants more often in the coming year, and very few (just 3 percent) expect to use it less than they currently do, signaling opportunity for operators who haven’t already integrated the latest technologies into their business.
