Music for Your Stay: Hard Rock Offers Guests Complimentary iTunes Playlists

Hard Rock International has launched of The Sound of Your Stay. Moving forward from the Mark Ronson Hard Rock compilation, Hard Rock strives to be at the forefront of music industry trends with exclusive programs and extraordinary experiences. In conjunction with NY-based strategic music and brand marketing company, BMF Media Group, The Sound of Your Stay invites Hard Rock Hotel guests to download complimentary, specially selected playlists on iTunes, chosen by Hard Rock's Music & Culture team. Hard Rock Hotels bring great classics, underground artists and exclusive songs to travelers around the globe.

The Sound of Your Stay is a key component in Hard Rock's overall music strategy. Hard Rock Hotel guests will receive a special keyholder upon check-in that will hold a Sound of Your Stay code. Guests can visit music.hardrockhotels.com to redeem one complimentary, 10-song playlist from a choice of three distinct options on iTunes entitled SUN, PLAYERS, and CITY. SUN, PLAYERS, and CITY playlists represent the vibe and genre of the three unique types of Hard Rock Hotels throughout the world: resort havens, casino getaways and city retreats.

"We are excited to work with iTunes and 30 incredible music artists to create The Sound Of Your Stay," says Sean Dee, chief marketing officer for Hard Rock International. "We are always looking for innovative ways to bring the world's best music to our guests."

Playlist choices
SUN was created to reflect the energy of Hard Rock Hotels located in resort destinations such as Orlando and Panama. SUN's arrangement is comprised of breaking artists and pop-y, poolside music such as "Lisztomania" by Phoenix and The Plain White T's song "Sunlight." PLAYERS has a southern, high-energy verve, mirroring the feel of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino properties in Biloxi, Tampa and Hollywood, Florida. PLAYERS features George Thorogood & The Destroyers' song "Bad to the Bone" and Jackson Browne's "Off Of Wonderland." CITY embraces the urban, edgy mood of Hard Rock Hotels located in cities such as Chicago and San Diego. CITY showcases indie tunes from underground newcomers like Cut Copy and Fischerspooner. Additionally, guests of any Hard Rock Hotel can download James Brown's song "Gut Bucket," exclusively available through The Sound of Your Stay.

"We're proud to be part of such a cool program with Hard Rock. It's always great for music fans to be able to get such a great mix of classic and new artists in interesting ways," says Tom Higgenson, lead singer of The Plain White T's.

Blake Smith, Hard Rock's music & culture expert, is consistently looking for the edgiest up-and-comers, current hits and old-school classics to ensure that guests have the best music experience at Hard Rock Hotels worldwide. Now, the experience can be taken home. The three playlists will be renewed every six months, allowing returning guests to download new music, great classics, and current hits again and again - compliments of Hard Rock International.

"Making an exciting playlist is an art. Do you remember getting mix tapes from friends growing up? Consider us your friend with the coolest record collection. Hard Rock has mastered the perfectly balanced playlist. Our playlists have classic tracks rubbing up against the best of what's next, allowing the listener to experience familiar music in interesting new contexts. And to make it that much sweeter, it's free," says Blake Smith, music & culture manager Hard Rock International.
