Micro$ale POS Certifies TransNet for Integrated Payments

Precidia Technologies Inc., a global leader in the design and manufacture of Internet Protocol (IP) payment and networking products, announced that the TransNet payment engine application has been certified with Micro$ale POS, a simple, complete POS system for the food service industry. This certification offers users of the Micro$ale POS system an alternative to existing integrated payment options, one which features flexible processor choice, industry leading security and complete control of the payment function.

Operating on open touch screen terminals, Micro$ale POS is a full featured, yet simple POS system ideal for food service locations such as quick and full service restaurants, bars, and delis. The system delivers a wide range of features and tools, from forecasting to reservations to customizable menu programming. In order to process payments from credit, debit, gift and loyalty cards, Micro$ale must be teamed with an integrated payment application. The TransNet payment engine from Precidia Technologies meets this requirement with new features and benefits not available with competing solutions.

TransNet, which can be integrated easily with any POS application, uses a router-based model for industry-leading security and reliability. The application operates on Precidia's POSLynx220 payment router, which features SSL encryption, field tested firewalling and automatic dial back-up. The solution is PA-DSS validated, and assists the merchant in maintaining PCI compliance with default settings for passwords. The TransNet solution's flexibility, management and control features are also key to POS system developers and their customers. TransNet is pre-certified to major transaction processors, including gift and loyalty, making it easier for developers to offer flexible processor choice to their customers. Merchants can route transactions to the lowest cost processor, and can easily alter these settings as their preferences change. TransNet and POSLynx220 are actively managed by the NetVu management server, which monitors transaction activity and delivers features such as batch reports, network and suspicious transaction alerts, and transaction logs.
