McCormick & Schmick's Streamlines Catering Management with Centralized Customer Database

McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurants, Inc., a national seafood restaurant operator in the affordable upscale dining segment for more than 35 years, offers on-site private and semi-private dining space across its more than 85 locations, as well as off-premise catering services.

To accommodate its growing catering and event management needs, McCormick & Schmick's required a software solution that provides a centralized customer database for all of its locations, streamlined reporting on an individual and global level, and productivity tools to help the company better maximize banquet and private dining dollars.

After researching multiple software options McCormick & Schmick's selected ReServe Anywhere, ReServe Interactive's web-based catering and event management software solution. ReServe Anywhere is a secure, online application that enables private dining staff, the national catering sales department and corporate management to access single property and company-wide information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from any computer with an Internet connection.

Smooth integration, routine training
To prepare for the nationwide software implementation, McCormick & Schmick's conducted web conferences to help each location format their current databases for easy export to ReServe Interactive. In addition, each location coordinated with corporate headquarters to schedule installation and launch dates. ReServe Interactive works directly with McCormick & Schmick's to closely manage the software roll-out and ensure all staff is trained in a timely and consistent manner. Follow-up trainings are routinely scheduled to address user concerns and help staff get comfortable with the software's features.

The communication between staff and the ReServe Interactive training and support staff has been open and consistent. Knowing that they are available to McCormick & Schmick's whenever management needs them, now during implementation, as well as in the future, is crucial. They have been hands-on, flexible and extremely accommodating McCormick & Schmick's specific needs as an organization.

Improved productivity
McCormick & Schmick's has been using ReServe Anywhere for a while now and management notes that they are seeing great improvements to productivity. Because event data is accessible at anytime from any computer, management can work wherever and whenever they need to. And, because of the intuitive nature of the software, they can book and execute events in significantly less time than before.

As McCormick & Schmick's finalizes the implementation process, they are collaborating with ReServe to enhance reporting to address the company's specific business needs. Multiple reports are required for each location, as well as on a national level, so determining which of ReServe's 300 reports are needed, and the best way to streamline them, is critical to accurately evaluating and enhancing operations.
