Marriott Miami Airport Campus Minimizes Biz Traveler Stress with Flight Displays

The Courtyard by Marriott Miami Airport South and the Residence Inn Miami Airport South have installed Flyte Systems' FlyteBoard real-time airline flight information display to provide travel confidence to guests.

The ten-story Courtyard Miami Airport South hotel offers 300 rooms, over 3,000 square-feet of state of the art meeting space, a new "refreshing business" lobby featuring the Courtyard's new interactive "Go Board" and a 150 seat Champions Sports Bar, all just minutes from the Miami International Airport (MIA).

"Our contemporary hotel was designed to minimize the stress of today's busy travel demands and the new FlyteBoards in our lobby give guests the latest, most accurate information to optimize their time" says Todd Winch, general manager of the Courtyard Miami Airport South. "Our FlyteBoard is a travel center that not only gives real-time flight information, but was customized for our properties to display our complimentary shuttles departure times, along with other destination options for our 828 room Marriott Miami Airport Campus. With FlyteBoard's reliable airline information in the lobby, guests can stay on property longer and enjoy a meal with greater confidence in their travel plans," Winch said.Õ

FlyteBoard displays flight information via strategically located high resolution digital signage monitors. "We know the FlyteBoard information is reliable, so our management team also monitors it for flight cancellations that influence the number of distressed passengers to expect. FlyteBoard delivers valuable information for both guests and staff."

Real-time flight information
What sets Flyte Systems apart from PC-based applications is the ability to post accurate, real-time airline flight arrival and departure information, not FAA-regulated scheduled departure times that do not list delays caused by air traffic control, aircraft maintenance, crew availability and weather.

Flyte Systems offers a suite of products that serve the traveling public: FlyteBoard, FlytePass, FlyteChannel and FlyteTouch.

  • FlyteBoard is a wall, floor or ceiling mounted high-definition, flat panel screen for lobbies, restaurants, bars and other public areas, displaying flight information for one or more airports.
  • FlytePass combines FlyteTouch with free, secure boarding pass printing and can be provided stand alone or neatly packaged in an optional all wood kiosk or integrated metal kiosk, to match your décor.
  • FlyteChannel permits guests to view live airport flight information conveniently and comfortably from their in-room television.
  • FlyteTouch enables individual guests to search flight information using an interactive touch screen that displays real-time flight arrivals and departures for one or more airports.
