Loews Regency Gives Wireless a New Meaning

| July 31, 2007

Loews Regency Hotel announces a partnership with Powermat technology that will allow guests using computers and other electronic devices at the Loews Regency Hotel Business Center to experience a new level of wireless freedom.

Loews Regency is the first hotel to install Powermat technology which provides cordless electrical power to electronic devices of nearly every type-- laptops, cell phones, PDAs, etc.-- without the need to access multiple electrical outlets or docking stations.

Utilizing principles of magnetic induction, Powermat's integrated solution transmits electrical power via an ultra thin mat embedded in, or overlaid on, a work surface or wall to electronic devices placed randomly on the power mat. Powermat enables an individual to travel without a charger and draw power to operate electronic devices so that batteries are never exhausted and wires are obsolete.

"With the installation of Powermat technology, we are able to provide our guests with the most advanced technology for wireless energy transmission available today," says Stuart Schwartz, managing director of Loews Regency.
