Live from NRF 2012: Coca Cola and YCD Multimedia Work to Develop Mobile Wireless Digital Signage Solution

1/16/2012
Coca Cola is being showcased at the 2012 National Retail Federation’s (NRF) 101st Annual Convention and Expo — Retail’s BIG Show, being held in New York,  January 15-18, 2012 at the Javits Center.

YCD Multimedia, a global leader in providing smart digital media solutions to the retail business world, today announced that a unique mobile wireless digital signage solution, developed for Coca Cola. The wireless solution is featured  at the Intel booth (# 2251).

Using second generation Intel CoreTM i5 processors, the solution enables placement flexibility, minimizes deployment effort and lowers support costs. The unique wireless digital signage stand was designed to display advertisements and promotional content related to Coca Cola's products in stores and supermarkets, increasing sales while minimizing cabling and location-change costs.

The mobile digital signage device plays specific clips promoting the product on the stand. Since it is a wireless display, it can be located anywhere around the store, without concern about physical LAN connections. The systems can be managed and fixed remotely using Intel Active Management Technology (Intel AMT). The wireless system can download new content, upload information to headquarters, and interact with customers.

YCD Multimedia says that Intel retail solutions displayed  at NRF, built by YCD,  demonstrate a flexible approach to digital signage that enables retailers rapidly to deploy and manage in-store displays.

The company also comments that their collaboration with Intel in the development of the concepts underscores the ability to help retailers increase their revenues and affect the shopper's decision-making process through innovative technology solutions.
