LevelUp Launches Gift Cards, Bridging Digital & Physical Gifting
LevelUp is announcing the launch of its gift card feature. Businesses can enroll to start selling gift cards with LevelUp. LevelUp powered gift card should be rolling into store in the next couple of weeks.
Here's how it works: Businesses are now able to sell physical gift cards instore and digital gift cards in app and online, all powered by LevelUp. The physical gift cards have unique QR codes on them that can be activated with any amount the purchaser would like to load. The digital gift cards are delivered in a gorgeously giftwrapped email to the recipient.
Recipients of LevelUp gift card can either redeem it by scanning the gift card in store at the LevelUp scanner, or they can "link" the card to their LevelUp account, to transfer over the value and redeem simply by paying with their phone.
LevelUp's gift card feature will be available to business for $50 per location per month. LevelUp's 1.95% processing rate will also apply to gift card sales. Businesses can design their own custom cards and use their own fulfillment partners, or have LevelUp produce the cards for them.
