Allen Eskelin is founder and CEO of Peak Portfolio, a management consulting firm focused on technology vendor selection and negotiation with clients such as Dunkin' Brands, Papa Murphy's, Microsoft, Culver's, and Nautilus. He is also the author of Technology Acquisition (Addison-Wesley Professional, 2001), the first book on the topic of technology vendor selection. Prior to consulting, Allen spent 13 years with Gateway and Starbucks. While at Starbucks, Allen led the launch of the Starbucks Card ($18B loaded on cards in 13 years) and its subsequent expansion to domestic licensed partners (hotel, grocery, airport, and online) and international partners. He also led vendor selections/negotiations for all retail systems technologies and services from 1998-2005.
 
Brian Christenson leads the Retail Practice as consulting director of Peak Portfolio. Brian was previously at Starbucks for more than 22 years in various capacities leading the growth of the business. Notable accomplishments include developing retail solutions for POS and back of house when there were 250 stores. As the company expanded globally, Brian led the development of the International IT organization including developing strategic partnerships with key vendors to support the expansion. This opportunity led to roles in developing retail systems for Japan while based there, moving to Australia to develop the Retail presence and then leading the technology Strategy to grow the Asia Pacific region. Brian finished his career at Starbucks by developing a Technology Merger and Acquisition strategy for the company.
