INNCOM to Showcase Green Solutions at HD Expo

Energy management is an integral component of high-performance, sustainable design, and the energy-saving solutions from INNCOM International can help designers, architects, owners and operators who are considering new construction or renovation projects to craft a plan that goes above and beyond the required standards in energy efficiency and environmental-conscious design. ENERGY STAR qualified products and those that help facilities achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification will be on display at the 2009 Hospitality Design Expo and Conference, May 14-15 at the Sands Expo in Las Vegas.

INNCOM develops, manufactures and markets room automation systems for the international lodging industry. INNCOM's product line ranges from programmable digital thermostats to fully integrated energy management, lighting control and communication systems—all designed to enhance guest comfort, safety and satisfaction while increasing bottom-line profits and being environmentally friendly.

Recyclable, flexible EMS
HD Expo attendees are pre-scheduling appointments with INNCOM to get a hands-on demonstration of the company's newest design-centric room devices made of recyclable glass for temperature and lighting control, as well as other functions. The e4 Glass Series Smart Digital Thermostat and Switches give designers a blank canvas for any image, graphic or identity desired to be silk-screened onto the glass faceplate.

The e4 Glass Series Smart Digital Thermostat is a member of INNCOM's Integrated Room Automation System (IRAS). Its core is a Direct Digital Control processor capable of controlling virtually any fan coil unit, heat pump or packaged terminal air conditioner. It includes an easy-to-read illuminated Liquid Crystal Display packaged in an innovative light touch switching form factor. The system can be expanded to include functionality such as humidity control, outside temperature display, occupancy reporting to housekeeping, automatic control of lights and the patent-pending ecoMODE functionality. When connected to INNCOM's centrally controlled system, additional energy savings are achieved by using a broader setback band when the guestroom is un-rented.

The e4 Glass Series Switch, a low voltage switch input for lighting, fan, privacy, make-up-room or drape applications, is also a member of INNCOM's IRAS family and is available in various models. The Glass Series Switch is activated when a guest touches the capacitance switching glass surface. The unit can be equipped with multiple touch switches to meet application-specific requirements. Additionally, each touch switch can be equipped with a color LED that acts as an indicator or pilot light depending on the switch's assigned function.
