Hotel Extends Luxury Experience in Guestroom with Cloud-based Smart TV

The Dylan Amsterdam, a member of the prestigious Small Luxury Hotels of the World, today announced that it is rolling out the Viggo platform in its guest rooms. Viggo is a cloud-based smart TV provider in the hospitality sector, transforming the in-room television into a rich and interactive media and communications center.  Guests at the Dylan Amsterdam can now use their television screen to surf the web, shop online, stream their personal content, and receive hotel recommendations on local events and restaurants.

Viggo is transforming the hotel room television into a smart screen and raising the bar on customer satisfaction.  At the same time, it is creating new revenue streams for hotels as they offer guests new amenities and services.  Viggo’s innovative solution is already rolled out in over 3,000 hotel rooms in England, Germany, The Netherlands and Australia and thousands of additional hotel rooms throughout the world will be Viggo-ed by mid-2014. 

Viggo’s service is cloud-based, runs on an Android platform, and is simple to use and customize.  The system is easy to install throughout an entire hotel and does not require an upgrade to bandwidth. Viggo works with all televisions and integrates seamlessly with existing Personal Management Systems and payment systems.
