Hotel Display Screens Give Guests Flight Info

The Berger Organization announces that it will implement FlyteBoard display screens from Flyte Systems at the Robert Treat Hotel in Newark, NJ. The FlyteBoard system will enable groups of guests at the Robert Treat Hotel to view real-time flight information for Newark International Airport on high-definition, large screen display monitors similar to those found at the airport.

"Nearly all our guests rely on the FlyteTouch lobby kiosks we currently have at our hotels to verify airline information before they leave for the airport,"says Miles Berger, president of The Berger Organization. "When guests learn their flight is delayed, they usually remain on property and relax in our restaurant until their plane is ready. If they see their flight is cancelled, they frequently extend their stay with us. Flyte Systems' airline information service is a profit center for our hotels."

Flyte Systems uses the hotel's high-speed Internet connection to provide accurate, instant, airport-centric updates of the flight information -- not just FAA scheduled flight information that does not include delays caused by Air Traffic Control, aircraft maintenance or crew availability. Guests have access to departure times, flight numbers and status, and gate locations 24 hours a day.
