Historic Arlington Hotel Hooks Up with WiFi

9/8/2015
What if your hotel is 90 years old, 11 stories high, built of brick, covers a city block and needs good WiFi? That was once the dilemma at the Historic Arlington Hotel in Hot Springs, Arkansas, but it is not a challenge anymore.

Managed service provider of wifi and networking solutions Kharma Consulting recently engineered and installed a WiFi system for the historic hotel using equipment from Ruckus Wireless and Valuepoint Networks.

The hotel, built in 1924 of cement and brick, was initially challenged to pull all of its cables, but it proved to be one that was tackled by Ruckus Wireless beamflex access points. A Valuepoint Networks Guest Controller is said to make efficient use of the fiber optic internet line coming into the building while also onboarding guests to the network. All of this is cloud managed by Kharma Consulting.

The historic Arlington Resort Hotel & Spa is the largest hotel in Arkansas with almost 500 rooms and suites.

Offering service nationwide, Kharma operates networks in over 20 states.
