Hershey Resorts Provides Employees with Flexible Training with Online HR Solution

Hershey Entertainment & Resorts (HE&R) has selected Infor Learning Management, part of the Infor Human Capital Management (HCM) suite of solutions, to provide employees with anywhere, anytime access to flexible training options. The entertainment and hospitality company will expand upon its relationship with Infor by utilizing Infor Learning Management alongside Infor HR Service Delivery, an advanced platform that fully engages users with a secure environment for employees, managers and HR professionals to obtain information. Through this project, users will benefit from single sign-on access to a multitude of training options including online classes and mobile curriculum.
 
As a unique and varied organization with 16 different properties ranging from a theme park and hotels to a stadium and arena, HE&R needed an application that could meet a wide variety of learning needs. In an effort to unify disparate systems, the company sought out a learning management application that would enable fast, easy access to comprehensive training materials, and act as a single portal for employees and managers to trace progress and completion. Infor Learning Management delivers in-depth, industry specific capabilities coupled with the flexibility to help HE&R develop, implement and deliver different training courses for each type of user.
 
“We plan to utilize Infor Learning Management not only as a means for delivery, but also as the catalyst to create a company culture around training with dynamic options to meet the needs of every learner,” said Derek Mongelli, assistant director of training and development, HE&R.
 
Infor Learning Management will allow HE&R to create a real-time learning environment with functionality to help learning and development managers not only produce and disseminate materials, but also determine which training methods are the best fit for a particular group of employees. Because of the company’s diverse operations, its employees are also required to achieve an array of certifications, which were previously tracked and managed manually. With the Infor application, all certifications will be monitored in the system with renewal information distributed via automatic reminders. This will give employees greater ownership over progress and promote a proactive mindset around maintaining the necessary credentials.
