HITEC HIGHLIGHTS: Sun Suites Set for a Property-Wide Roll Out of ILCO RFID Electronic Locks

6/22/2012
Sun Suites, operated by Park Management Group, will install Kaba ILCO 790 contactless radio frequency identification (RFID) electronic locks in all of its 20 properties. The Sun Suites chain will upgrade from its existing locks at twenty hotels and installation is expected to be completed in June 2012.

ILCO 790 locks utilize the latest RFID access control technology to provide Sun Suites guests with easy to use, contactless room access experience. Guests simply pass their ILCO RFID keycard in front of the door’s reader to enter their room. ILCO electronic locking systems are ideal for both large and small properties and offer an easy upgrade process to replace mechanical and older mag-stripe electronic locks.

The ILCO RFID technology not only enables Sun Suites to provide a reliable, secure guest experience but also significantly reduces operational overhead since RFID keycards cannot be de-magnetized by cell phones or other personal items. This will free Sun Suites properties from the cost and inconvenience of repeatedly replacing guests' mag-stripe keys.

Kaba’s ILCO 790 RFID locking system advantages include:
Increased durability: RFID locks use a completely sealed contactless reader
Reduced maintenance: Batteries last up to 3 years
Enhanced reliability: Low battery indicator alerts staff while lock is operational
Attractive designs: Locks offer a variety of finishes to match each property’s style

Kaba Saflok and ILCO electronic locking and security systems will be on display at HITEC 2012 in Baltimore at Booth 2013.
