Hersha Hospitality Management (HHM) selected BirchStreet to implement a comprehensive cloud procure-to-pay automation system at all of its 114 locations, including using eProcurement, AP 3-Way Auto-Matching, eInvoicing, Inventory Control, Recipe Management and Capital Projects modules. Combined, the entire solution will increase efficiency, visibility, compliance and profitability. Automating HHM's back-office processes will reduce costs and save time with the elimination of manual practices. HHM will also use BirchStreet’s strategic partner Avendra, a supply chain and procurement services company in the hospitality sector, which is tightly integrated with BirchStreet.
HHM selected the eProcurement module to connect with their preferred suppliers with easy ordering, punch-outs; advanced approval workflow to allow for different levels of routing and approval of purchase orders; as well as the checkbook drilldown to access line item details and instant business intelligence. In addition, they selected the AP 3-Way Auto-Matching module to ensure compliance by matching the purchase orders, receiving documents and invoices.
HHM will use the Recipe Management module to help chefs identify accurate food costs, along with enhancing quality and consistency at all of their properties. Using a POS integration with BirchStreet will help chefs to create margins and price dishes correctly. BirchStreet reports food nutritional value, allergens and intolerances along with access to both local and enterprise standard recipes and the ability to scale recipes. All inventory items will be better managed with real-time data, par levels, alerts and tracking. The entire platform will help HHM gain insight with reporting and analytics for all procurement activities to reduce costs and waste.
