Gulf Coast Resort, Casino Rebuilds with Wireless Communication System

| September 25, 2008

The Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in Biloxi, Miss., in an effort to guarantee mission and life-critical wireless communications, fully deploys InnerWireless, Inc.'s Horizon wireless communication system. Beau Rivage relies on InnerWireless to distribute cellular/PCS, back-of-house wireless communications, two-way radios for first-responders and Wi-Fi for guests in public areas.

After 2005's Hurricane Katrina, MGM MIRAGE and Beau Rivage executives vowed to rebuild the resort. The hotel re-opened Beau Rivage after investing $550 million in renovations.

Beau Rivage sought out an in-building wireless system that would guarantee first-responders could use their two-way radios anywhere inside the resort.  But instead of considering multiple discrete wireless systems, Beau Rivage executives wanted a single, highly engineered system that ensured comprehensive in-building distribution of two-way radio communications, while supporting their staff's cellular and push-to-talk communications in addition to providing guests with Wi-Fi access in public areas. These criteria and the absolute requirement for guaranteed coverage and signal strength resulted in Beau Rivage choosing Horizon from InnerWireless.
