Galt House Bets on Live Rate & Inventory Solution to Boost Group Revenue

Galt House Hotel is deploying an enhanced rate management tool for group inventory, a solution designed by EZYield, a provider of automated online distribution management solutions, and Passkey, a provider of online group reservation technology. The solution represents a real-time availability, rate and inventory (ARI) interface for groups, providing an automated method for the hotel to merchandize room upgrades and extended stays to its group guests. With this new technology, Galt House will experience improved yield control and greater opportunities to drive group revenue growth. 
 
The interface eliminates the manual synching of inventory between the hotel's property management system and its group booking channel, Passkey, which required a hotel staff member to deploy rate changes manually.
 
"Passkey appreciates and understands that hotels must have accurate room type availabilities within primary inventory. This new integration with EZYield removes the manual nature associated with deploying rate changes and updating room inventories, allowing us to rest easy that our primary inventory always reflects real-time and accurate information. Hotels can now turn their attention to maximizing revenue," says Mary Mohlenkamp, revenue manager of Galt House Hotel. 
 
With this approach, room inventory and rates are continually updated in Passkey, allowing Galt House staff to offer group guests up-to-the-minute options for upgraded rooms and extended stays, while ensuring rate integrity and optimal inventory allocation. This allows Galt House to continue selling rooms to its group guests after an event's "cut-off" date at standard rates.
