Foxwoods Installs Revenue Management Solution to Optimize 2,200+ Rooms

Foxwoods Resort Casino announces the installation of The Rainmaker Group's revolution Product Suite to optimize revenue for the property's 2,200+ hotel rooms in its four hotels that include the MGM Grand at Foxwoods.

"Rainmaker's revolution Revenue Management Suite is an essential tool for profitably operating a large multi-property casino hotel enterprise like Foxwoods," says Zan Miller, Foxwoods' executive director of revenue management. "Rainmaker enables Foxwoods to maximize segment profitability even in periods of fluctuating consumer demand and shifts in our markets. We use the system for accurate segment profitability forecasting and it provides pertinent data to identify areas of 'demand opportunity.'"

Miller states that Foxwoods uses the system's detailed information to set the most efficient staffing levels throughout the resort and utilizes a predictive forecasting model to help set optimal rate recommendations by segment. The data from revolution is also included as part of the company's decision process in customizing special events, direct marketing programs and group/convention sales efforts.

Foxwoods hotels include the 806-room Grand Pequot Tower, 312-room Great Cedar Hotel, the 280 room Two Trees Inn and the 825-room MGM Grand at Foxwoods. Foxwoods also features more than 55,000 square feet of meeting space and 25 conference rooms.

The revolution Product Suite is an enterprise Revenue Management system for chains and hotel groups that enables casino properties to increase revenue by instantly determining the minimum acceptable value of each new reservation based on total customer value. This helps hotels secure the most profitable mix of business, while ensuring there is availability for a client's best customers.
