Cafe Increases Market Share and Loyalty with Mobile Ordering and Payments

| September 24, 2012

La Boulange Café & Bakery, a San Francisco-based French bakery, has rolled out mobile ordering apps, developed exclusively for La Boulange by OLO. The new mobile ordering and mobile payment capabilities for its customers, are available on both the iOS and Android platforms and allow guests to order brunch, lunch, sweets and more directly from their smartphone, where they can also view and order from the bakery’s full menu, repeat previous orders, pay securely using a credit card, and confirm time and date of pick-up. Even better, when guests order through the app they skip the line.

La Boulange’s mobile ordering app is free on both iTunes and Google Play. Customers can order from La Boulange’s menu, set a desired pick-up time, and pay with credit card using a secure platform with just six “clicks.” La Boulange is already receiving high ratings from customers, including a five-star rating on Google Play.

La Boulange joins a growing number of restaurants offering mobile ordering and mobile payments apps. With smartphone ownership growing at a rate of more than 30 percent each year, OLO Founder and CEO Noah Glass considers mobile ordering apps to be the new frontier for quick-serve and fast casual restaurants.
