Caesars Palace Launches New Mobile Offerings: iPhone App Featuring GPS and "Texpress" Fast-Track Check-In

Grab a cell phone and go! Starting this month, Caesars Palace in Las Vegas launches its iPhone application. There, guests will find restaurant hours and hotel information, join thousands of Caesars Palace followers and read the Twitter feed, choose a spa or salon treatment, see who is performing in The Colosseum at Caesars Palace and more. A favorite feature is the personalized Caesars Palace electronic postcard customized to display the guest's photo on the resort's giant marquee sign. Comprehensive resort information also is available now via this app. The resort is among the first not only to have the capability to update the application content and exclusive offers 24 hours per day, but also to feature user opt-in GPS capabilities, which can customize offers to venues conveniently located near the user.

Also available now for U.S. guests is "Texpress," the resort's new user-friendly mobile phone service designed to fast-track hotel check-in. One day before arrival, guests text the resort to check in. After arriving at Caesars Palace, Texpress users by-pass the front desk check-in line and proceed directly to the Bell Desk, where their room keys are ready and waiting.

iPhone app finds guests and information
This free app features room descriptions, points of interest, Caesars history and more. Maps show popular destinations throughout the resort. For things to do, the app has information on Qua Baths & Spa, COLOR Salon, shopping, golf, nightlife and the Neil Leifer Gallery of legendary sports photographs. Dining information includes descriptions, hours, direct-dial phone numbers and menus. Guests also can provide feedback and receive general contact information for the resort.

Guests can elect to enable the iPhone's GPS capabilities to receive location-specific marketing offers during their stay. If guests leave Caesars for another Harrah's Entertainment Las Vegas resort, special offers for those respective hotels will be offered in the app.

"For example, if a Caesars guest visits the Flamingo, the app can provide that guest a special offer available only at the Flamingo," says Neal Narayani, director of email and mobile marketing, Harrah's Entertainment. "This technology puts the resort ahead of its competitors. One of the restaurants at Caesars Palace may have a new menu for that day. A special event could be taking place that night. That content and more will be updated in real-time in the app."

The Caesars Palace Las Vegas app is available now for free download in the iTunes App Store.

Texpress expedites check-in
Guests also can check into their hotel rooms before they leave home. "Texpress" is available to those who book hotel reservations via CaesarsPalace.com. The day before arrival, a customized text is sent including the confirmation number and directs the user to reply "check in" to begin the check-in process. Upon arrival at the resort, guests by-pass the front desk and proceed to the Bell Desk, where they present photo identification to pick up their room keys. Texpress is available to all U.S. cell phone users with text capabilities, including BlackBerry and iPhone. Texpress users also may opt to receive text message offers during their stay, including special pricing for spa treatments, cocktails, shows and much more. Like the iPhone app, Texpress offers will be timed to coincide with the hotel stay and cease after checkout.

Narayani concludes, "We have leveraged popular technology to elevate guest service, making it easier than ever for guests to check into the hotel, find information and enjoy varied resort experiences. With these two new mobile device offerings, Caesars Palace guests have access to information and special offers where and when they want them."
