Big Boy Restaurants Leads Brand Renaissance with MICROS POS

Big Boy Restaurants International LLC announces its selection of MICROS, along with the MICROS e7 solution, as a preferred POS vendor for its 165 stores in the U.S. MICROS will initially target franchise locations in the US that need to upgrade their legacy system environment to comply with the PCI Data Security Standard.

A Michigan-based company, Big Boy Restaurants was recently recognized by Nation's Restaurant News with the "Hot! Again" award for its steady, continued growth and rebranding efforts. This success can be partly attributed to Big Boy Restaurants' revitalization plan to propel the chain with increased cost controls, tighter product sales tracking, and improved customer service.

To help implement the plan, Big Boy Restaurants partnered with MICROS to provide a solution that would meet its POS technology requirements. Affordability, ease of installation, fast training, flexible administration, and enterprise functionality, were the driving factors behind Big Boy Restaurants' choice of the MICROS e7.

"From a back office perspective, managing procedures, reports, and menu changes can be done on-the-fly using the MICROS e7 POS touch screen with virtually no training," stated Paul Black, CFO for Big Boy Restaurants International LLC. "As we are incorporating menu items and sales information with our inventory and accounting applications, MICROS's open platform and industry standard design offers Big Boy Restaurants a great advantage."

"Selecting the highly reliable, affordable, and flexible MICROS e7 POS solution supports our revitalization efforts by reducing complexity and providing uninterrupted, efficient customer service focus," stated Tony Michaels, CEO for Big Boy Restaurants International LLC. "MICROS offers unparalleled program and integration support and we appreciate its solid presence in the restaurant industry."
