Anevia, Allin Interactive to Provide High Def ITV and VOD Solutions for Cruise Ships

Anevia, a provider of video streaming solutions and service infrastructure for live TV and video on demand (VOD), and Allin Corporation, a provider of solutions-oriented application development, technology consulting and systems integration services, have partnered to provide some of the largest cruise ships in the world with advanced, high-definition, interactive video services.

Allin Corporation, through its Fort Lauderdale, Florida division, Allin Interactive, provides turn-key, integrated ITV and video on demand services in guest staterooms. Allin Interactive has delivered ITV services to over 70,000 cabins on over 60 cruise vessels since 1996, and current implementations touch nearly 100,000 guests every week while completing hundreds of millions of dollars worth of transactions each year.

Allin Interactive has partnered with Anevia, a leader in video streaming technologies, to combine Allin's IP-based DigiMix ITV system with the Toucan 500 advanced streaming server. The Toucan 500 server is a video on demand (VOD) and network Personal Video Recording (nPVR) streamer that provides a full range of value-added HD services including Catch-up TV, Pause TV, Start Over and Playlist. The solution is part of a collection of IPTV and VOD products that deliver services to millions of users worldwide.

The Allin-Anevia solution has already been chosen by Norwegian Cruise Line for its new ship, Norwegian Epic. Norwegian Epic is the line's largest and most innovative Freestyle Cruising ship. Among many other onboard firsts and unique features, the ship incorporates several new types of accommodations, which feature flexible and innovative in-cabin entertainment. Norwegian Epic launched in June and is currently making 7-day Caribbean sailings from Miami.
