Amadeus Acquires Itesso
Amadeus acquired Itesso BV, a provider of cloud-native property management systems (PMS) based in the Netherlands.
Amadeus said the deal aligns it closer to its vision of bringing together the key components of hotel technology infrastructure – CRS, Property Management, Revenue Management, Sales & Catering and others – into one guest-centric platform that enables hotels and chains of all sizes to have a single view of the guest and a unified view of their business.
At the same time, the acquisition marks another step in its path to deliver on its commitment to the hotel IT sector following the acquisition of Newmarket in 2013, and the agreement in April of this year to work with InterContinental Hotel Group to develop a next generation GRS (Guest Reservation System).
As a result of the transaction, all of Itesso’s employees, which number approximately 100, including the management team, are expected to move to Amadeus, bringing complementary hospitality and property management expertise built up over 20 years.
