200 ID Theft Cases Traced to Calif. Burger Joint

| March 22, 2011

Vacaville, Calif. investigators are asking diners of a burger restaurant to check their bank statements following a string of identity thefts, writes Sam Cohen of FOX40 News.

Almost 200 people have been identified as victims in this identity theft case. Cops were first alerted to it in early March, and traced the credit card number thefts back to Nation's Giant Hamburgers along Browns Valley Parkway.

Nation's representatives have been made aware of the crimes, and they are working with police to find where the breach in security happened. The restaurant has already corrected the problem with their credit card machines.
