Panera, the chain of bakery-cafes, has signed an agreement with Xpient Solutions, a provider of point-of-sale (POS) technology for a POS solution. The solution will provide Panera the flexibility to move its business forward with new technology.
Centered on Xpient's IRIS (Intelligent Restaurant Information System) application, the solution also includes credit and stored value card transaction engines, eKitchen for expanded kitchen video applications, and XBMS Visual Dashboard (eXception Based Monitoring System) for real-time performance monitoring.
