HT Freshens Up

In 2011, the editors at Hospitality Technology are promoting a fresh approach. It’s what we’re suggesting for achieving your “2011 Resolutions” in our January/February cover story, and we’re putting freshness to work at HT, too. The design team has been working on a new look for the magazine, while our web team has been focusing on bringing you a more personalized experience at htmagazine.com.

If you missed it, take a peek at the January/February 2011 cover and you will see our new logo (hey, if Starbucks can do it…). Flip ahead a few pages and you’ll notice a new look throughout the inside, too. Each issue, we’ll be bringing you more detailed case studies than before. The popular opinion column, “Vantage Point” will continue to bring you perspectives from peers on hot topics, only now you’ll also get to know the contributors a little better, too. What would Nick Price do if he weren’t CIO at Mandarin Oriental?

Online, we’ve added personalized functionality to htmagazine.com. Registered users can click on the “My Favorites” tab and see articles they’ve tagged as “favorite,” their most-recently read headlines, plus any reports or whitepapers they’ve downloaded. If they’ve registered to attend any of HT’s web seminars or live events, such as MURTEC, that registration status will be visible, too.

On the research side, Hospitality Technology launched a landmark report, “2011 Lodging Technology Study,” now available for download online. In 2011, we resolve to keep bringing you news, research, analysis and opinions on the trends and topics that matter most. We welcome your input on how we’re doing, and on what you’d like to see more of. As always, feel free to e-mail me at [email protected]. Happy New Year!
