Steve Governale, is a 15-year veteran of the digital media and marketing industry. He started his career as one of the first dedicated digital strategists at Starcom MediaVest Group in Chicago and went on to found SMG’s search marketing practice, SMG Search.
Steve moved to Dallas in 2008 to lead AT&T’s digital media strategy and buying , and pioneered many of the company’s early social media initiatives.
He joined Facebook in 2011 and leads the restaurant category for North America. In this role, Steve is focused on helping restaurant brands achieve their core business goals on the Facebook platform. He also serves as a voice of the industry internally – helping map needs of the category to product development.
Steve is a graduate of Arizona State University and lives in Dallas with his wife Allison and two daughters, Grier and Ellis.
