John Lilley has fourteen years of leadership experience in the digital marketing and technology space, eight of those in the travel and ski resort segment. John is Principal of John Lilley Consulting, LLC and is currently advising Aspen Skiing Company on ecommerce and digital strategy.
Prior to starting his consulting business, John served as the Vice President of Digital Applications for Vail Resorts. In that position, John led the redesign and re-development of Vail Resorts' ecommerce platform, led the development of the Webby Award winning EpicMix social marketing platform, and built a twenty person web and mobile development team. John sat on the Vail Resorts' Digital Strategy Committee and the EpicMix Steering Committee, where he helped set strategy for Vail Resorts’ digital platforms.
John also has four years of consulting experience with Sapient Nitro, a digital experience agency. During that time, he led the delivery of enterprise digital projects for Harrah's Entertainment, Janus Capital Group, and Hilton Europe, among others. John was selected as part of the team to help build Sapient Nitro's offshore software delivery practice, and spent a year in New Delhi India helping to lead the recruiting, client services and software development methodology for an office of over 2,000 consultants.
John holds a BA in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management from Michigan State University, an MBA from the Eli Broad Graduate School of Business at Michigan State University, and a Masters in Information Systems from the University of Arizona.
