Murray C. Huneke is a Managing Director and co-head of the Consumer & Retail Investment Banking Group at Stifel.
With more than 25 years as a restaurant investment banker, Mr. Huneke has completed over 75 restaurant transactions, many with established industry icons including Brinker International, The Cheesecake Factory, Outback Steakhouse, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, Red Robin, and others. Mr. Huneke has also worked with numerous emerging, high growth concepts including Barcelona/Bartaco, Bravo Brio, Del Frisco’s, and Yard House. He is experienced in a full range of investment banking activities, including public offerings, private placements of equity and debt, mergers & acquisitions, and debt restructurings.
Prior to joining Stifel, Mr. Huneke spent 10 years at Piper Jaffray as Managing Director and co-head of consumer investment banking. Prior to Piper Jaffray, he served for eight years in the consumer team at Banc of America Securities/Montgomery Securities in San Francisco, where he was a managing director and responsible for the restaurant investment banking team. Mr. Huneke started his investment banking career in 1987 at Alex. Brown & Sons Inc. in Baltimore, where he worked with the firm’s retailing, restaurant and other consumer clients. He began his career in retail merchandising and management at Nordstrom.
Mr. Huneke graduated from Stanford University and received a master of business administration degree from Harvard Business School.
