Fleming's Prime Steakhouse

Born and raised in Stoneham, Massachusetts, Craig Sheppard brings an in depth knowledge of restaurant operations and technology to Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar.

In 1999, Sheppard joined Bloomin’ Brands Inc. (BBI) and worked for the Outback Steakhouse concept. During his time at Outback, he held a variety of positions including computer technician and regional trainer. His hard work and aptitude for problem solving were quickly recognized and Sheppard was promoted to National Computer Tech, retrofitting over 25 Outback Restaurants with the new POSiTouch system. He also successfully rolled out gift cards to over 700 restaurants.

In 2003, he accepted the position of National IT Liaison at one of BBI’s new concepts and moved to Tampa, Florida. Sheppard custom built the concept’s IT structure, also opening restaurants on the new system. He later accepted the position of National IT Training Coordinator for BBI’s Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar and Roy’s Hawaiian Fusion Cuisine and moved to the restaurants’ headquarters in Orange County, California.

Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse has made significant technological advancements since Sheppard joined the team in 2005. His accomplishments include successfully implementing Fleming’s video conferencing system in each of the concept’s 65 restaurant locations. The Fleming’s Video Network (FVN) is comprised of Cisco roll-about video conferencing equipment providing reliable, easy-to-use technology. Sheppard was the technical director of the restaurant industry’s first-ever virtual wine dinner, where guests at over 60 locations were able to connect via video conference from their local restaurants to winemakers in Northern California. Most recently, Sheppard teamed up with Fleming’s Director of Wine to create the industry’s first custom designed wine app for a national restaurant company, the Fleming’s WiNEPAD. As co-creator of the WiNEPAD, he managed the project from the initial planning to the final training and implementation of 30+ WiNEPADs in 65 Fleming’s locations.

Sheppard has received numerous awards for his achievements including: Burlington, MA Outback Employee of the Year; BBI Home Office Employee of the Quarter; Fleming’s Whatever it Takes award and BBI Home Office Employee of the Year.

He currently resides in Newport Beach, California and enjoys DJing on the weekends, going to the beach, and enjoying fine wine and food.
