For the past 14 years, he has worked as Vice President of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer at Quality Dining (QDI). QDI is a private corporation, operating 227 restaurants in 7 states, consisting of both quick-service and table-service concepts: Burger King, Chili's, Papa Vino's Italian Kitchen, and blue2o Seafood Grill (fine dining). With an emphasis on a methodology of continuous process improvement, he has effectively implemented an integrated replacement of the entire collection of stand-alone systems. Steve has a history of developing IT infrastructures designed in a scalable fashion to support expansion, and building strong IT teams focused on innovative application development. His overriding theme in building IT teams has been to create a culture where IT personnel are focused on providing overwhelming customer support, an environment where they can feel proud of the support they provide, especially to restaurant operators.
