David Curtis is the Senior Director of Retail Technology for FOCUS Brands. FOCUS Brands Inc. is the franchisor and operator of over 3,300 ice cream stores, bakeries, restaurants, and cafes in the United States and 50 foreign countries under the brand names of Carvel®, Cinnabon®, Schlotzsky’s®, Moe’s Southwest Grill®, Auntie Anne's® Pretzels, and the franchisor of Seattle’s Best Coffee® on certain military bases and in certain international markets. Based in Atlanta, the primary objective of FOCUS Brands is to “FOCUS on making people happy.”
David is responsible for the selection, development, and implementation of retail technology in support of each brand’s retail operations and back office support and reporting systems. David has been with Focus Brands for 2 years and has worked on major initiatives with regards to back-of-house automation, PCI compliance, IT Governance, Digital Menu Boards, and the convergence of online, social, and mobile technology in support of operations, marketing, loyalty, and payment.
Prior to Focus Brands, David worked as the IT Director of Ted’s Montana Grill, and has had extensive retail technology experience working for Urban Brands a specialty retailer of women’s apparel. In addition, over his 25 year IT management career, David has had diverse IT experience working for companies such as Citicorp (now Citigroup) and Lifetime Television for Women.
